Welcome!

My name is Cayla and I am a 31-year-old hiker, traveler, and photographer. I was born and raised in the “Last Frontier” state of Alaska. After graduating high school, I joined the Army where I traveled all over the world to places like South Korea and Germany. During my service in the Army and after, my love for travel and adventure grew. I have been to over 10 countries and on countless trips and trails in the United States. In 2019 I decided to settle in Washington State (for now) where I now work as a full time first responder.

How am I able to travel and work full time? I dedicate most of my free time to short trips here and there, throughout the year. There is a plethora of hiking trails in and around Washington, so this makes it easy to get outside and explore. While I had been documenting all of my adventures on my phone up until moving to Washington, I decided to take photography more seriously in 2023 and bought my first drone and camera. I have been learning about photography ever since and have fallen in love with it more and more every day. In 2024, I spent months building this website so that I could share what I have captured and learned with all of you. I am happy to finally be able to share my adventures and photos and hope that I can inspire you to go on adventures of your own, big or small!
